Meet The Team: Bonnie Watts - Burlanes Design Consultant

March 2018

At Burlanes, we believe it's our people that are our biggest asset, and it's down to their knowledge, passion and integrity that make us so proud of our service. Our team of experienced Design Consultants are always on hand to offer advise and guidance when designing your beautiful home interiors.

Bonnie has recently joined the Burlanes design team, and is based at Burlanes Sevenoaks, alongside Michele. Bonnie is one of the first people you will meet when visiting Burlanes Sevenoaks and planning a new space in your home.

Let's meet Bonnie...

Tell us a little bit about yourself...

I am a very practical person, and I love to get my hands dirty! I am very hands on, and I am currently undertaking an entire home renovation on my new house. I also love to do a bit of sewing; making new cushions and curtains to go around the house.

Describe your dream kitchen...

A country-cottage style kitchen is my dream kitchen, with lots of character and with large windows flooding the room with natural light. I like neutral colours, so a neutral colour palette of cool grey tones would be perfect. I like having lots of workspace for prepping and cooking, so lots of worktops and a large kitchen island would be on my list. Having lots of worktop space means there isn't a need for wall cupboards, allowing as much light as possible to flood the room, making the kitchen part of the outdoors.

Tell us a little bit about your career. How has it unfolded?

I have always had a keen interest in Textiles and Photography, and I have always been creative, which made kitchen designing come very naturally to me. I have been designing kitchens within a trade environment for two years, and I am looking forward to working with homeowners to design and create their dream spaces within their homes in my role with Burlanes.

What do you think makes a 'happy home'?

A happy home is filled with all the people you love, a glass of wine always helps too!

Name a kitchen gadget that you couldn't live without!

It's not a kitchen gadget as such, but a big, good quality cooking pot. I do love a meal that you can cook all in one pot.

What would people be most surprised to know about you?

I am named after a classic 750 Triumph Bonneville motorbike!
