5 Reasons To Choose White Kitchen Cabinets

The initial decision to make when choosing your colour is whether you want dark cabinetry, or light. There are no rules you should follow when choosing dark or light, but things to consider would include the size of your kitchen, available light sources in the room, and the colours and shades of existing furniture you may wish to keep within the room.
If you are considering a light or white  kitchen, we have put together a few advantages that may help you make up your mind...

An Industrial Style Bespoke Kitchen By Burlanes

Handmade in our  Kent workshop  using Tulipwood and oak, and handpainted in Mylands 'Bond Street' with beautiful Silestone Quartz worksurfaces in 'Classic White', our Hoyden kitchen cabinetry is classic and timeless, and was the perfect choice for this galley kitchen.

Choosing A Kitchen Layout That Is Right For You

Originally a room for just cooking in, the kitchen has come a far cry from its initial purpose, and is now designed with so much more in mind. Depending on the size of the room and the available space, you may wish to combine your cooking area with your dining and living zones, or you may wish to separate each room entirely.

Burlanes bespoke freestanding kitchen larder

The Kitchen Larder

Historically, a larder was a cool area, usually just away from the kitchen, for storing food prior to use, and were commonplace in houses before the invention of the refrigerator. The essential qualities of a larder in historical times were to be as cool as possible, close to food preparation areas, and equipped with shelves and cupboards appropriate to the food being stored; much like the essential qualities of a larder today!

A Beautiful Kitchen Extension With Floods Of Natural Light

With such a wonderfully high ceiling fitted with VELUX windows, and perfectly positioned sliding doors at the rear of the extension, this kitchen is flooded with natural light, enhanced by the well chosen colour palette of the room. Prior to the start of the works on site, this empty room gave our design team the 'wow factor', and this is definitely one of our favourite kitchens we have had the opportunity to design and create.

The Quooker Tap: A True Revolution

So what is the  Quooker  tap?
Back in 1970, Henri Peteri was involved in a project developing instant soup, and realised that what was really missing in making soup was instant boiling water. Soup powder could be made into soup in seconds once mixed with boiling water. This was the light bulb moment that would lead to the release of the Quooker Basic in 1992.

A Burlanes bespoke kitchen perfect for entertaining

Bespoke furniture means having the freedom to build a kitchen around the features of a room, rather than juggling everything around to make it fit. It's often the smaller, unassuming things that make the biggest impact; like how much natural light floods into this house, and how many lovely, bright areas there are for the family to sit and chat.

We cannot recommend the Burlanes team enough; they just knew what we needed and got it so right.
