Burlanes were involved in the design of this spacious modern family kitchen from day one. The brief was specific and detailed. Our clients were delighted with the result!
They needed a space to accommodate the busy lives of their family. Our kitchen designer worked closely with our clients every step of the way in their new build to create an informal family living space to maximise the times when the children were home and the family was together.
A functional family kitchen doesn’t have to compromise on style. Hidden storage eliminates clutter and a splash of colour on the kitchen island lifts the room and makes a space that children want to spend time in. This welcoming family room revolves around the multi-purpose kitchen island with seating for family meals, masses of storage and a hidden submerged sink!
Dirty dishes can be hidden behind the raised seating area, next to the sink and cleared away after mealtimes. This set-up allows people to sit around the kitchen island enjoying a drink and a chat, and includes whoever is preparing food in the kitchen.

Burlanes created many custom built storage solutions in this kitchen design including this breakfast cupboard, hidden away behind closed doors but easy to access so the children can help themselves.
2 singles ovens, a warming drawer that doubles up as a slow cooker and a multi-functional oven means this kitchen is more than equipped to cope with busy weekends of house guests and entertaining.
