A Burlanes bespoke kitchen perfect for entertaining
This stunning family home in the heart of Sevenoaks was in need of an uplift to add character and life to the house, and our client wanted to create an open plan kitchen-diner, for family meal times and entertaining guests.
Bespoke furniture means having the freedom to build a kitchen around the features of a room, rather than juggling everything around to make it fit. It's often the smaller, unassuming things that make the biggest impact; like how much natural light floods into this house, and how many lovely, bright areas there are for the family to sit and chat.
In such a bright and airy space, it seemed only natural to keep the colour palette of our Wellsdown kitchen just that. The kitchen cupboards are painted in Myland's 'Greenwich Time' and the island is painted in 'Mid Wedgwood'. Topped with Sensa polished quartz in 'Ice Blue' and finished with 'Antique Silver' hardware, we created a country style kitchen maintaining the integrity of the property, with some elegant modern additions. The island creates such a beautiful centrepiece upon entering the room, and provides extra worktop space for preparing food, and ample storage.
A bespoke made corner cupboard gives lots of concealed storage for this family, and the integrated appliances utilise space well. A large, double sink overlooks the beautiful garden, and the large porcelain floor tiles are so easy to maintain and clean, and reflect light all around the room.
The mirrored splashback also reflects the natural light around the room, and adds depth to the narrowest part of the kitchen. Splashbacks are a great way of adding personal touches and character to simplistic, timeless kitchens, and can be easily changed or updated in years to come.

The flush cooktop gives the worktops such a sleek, seamless finish, and drawer space isn't compromised at all. All of our cupboards and drawers are bespoke, made to your exact specifications, including all internal finishes too.
We used the same large porcelain floor tiles throughout this room, creating a natural flow from the kitchen to the dining area, and making the space appear bigger than what it is. Flooring can often be overlooked in room design, but if chosen correctly, can be a very valuable asset to any environment.
