Bespoke, Handmade Storage Solutions For A New Build Home In Essex
A new build home is often a blank canvas, allowing homeowners to create their own consistent interior design theme throughout. Burlanes Chelmsford were commissioned to design and create storage solutions for a number of rooms in this homeowners new build property in Essex, all handpainted in Mylands 'Drury Lane'.
New build homes are often very symmetrical, with well thought out window placement, room shapes and plug sockets, meaning there is often less structural and building work to be done when installing bespoke furniture. The homeowner was unsure as to what style of furniture she wanted, however creating lots of storage space was a must, as well as a well thought out home office space.
With a distinct lack of storage space at the entrance of the property, our design team created a bespoke, made-to-measure bootroom style banquette bench, with wall panelling and coat pegs, in a small room to the right of the front door. Initially an unused room, it has been transformed into a multi-use storage space.
All of our furniture is bespoke and made-to-measure, and our designers always ensure all available space is maximised.
To the rear of the room, we created a handmade storage dresser, to fit the available space perfectly.
Bi-fold doors allow easy opening, and are space saving too.
In the main living room, the homeowner wanted a storage solution that would tie in with the boutique feel of the rest of the home. We designed and handmade a bespoke dresser unit with glass panelled doors, creating storage space and a place to store a display glassware.
The dresser unit was made-to-measure, allowing it to sit around the skirting board and flush against the wall perfectly.
