Handmade Freestanding Furniture For A Family Living Room

As well as beautiful handmade kitchens, bathrooms and bedroom furniture, we also design, create and install freestanding pieces of  furniture  for elsewhere in the home, and we were delighted when the owners of this beautiful property in the Kent countryside, commissioned us for their living room furniture.

Having purchased the property 12 months prior and undergoing an entire re-decoration project, the couple were looking to find beautiful, freestanding pieces of furniture for their family living room.

Handmade using Tulipwood and oak, the television unit and the dresser were designed to fit the dimensions of the available space perfectly, as well as providing lots of concealed storage space for use by all the family.



Handpainted in 'Blueprint' by Mylands with beautiful limed oak top and chrome handles, the dresser unit is such a lovely piece of  furniture . The traditional style Burlanes 'zig-zag' shelving means they are fully adjustable to any height too.



All of the drawers we create are handmade by our team of craftsmen and cabinet makers in our  workshop in Kent , and each one is dovetailed and finished perfectly. Each and every single piece of furniture we create passes through a number of quality control checks before being delivered to and installed in our customers' homes.

 
We always use Blum BLUMotion soft-close drawer runners to ensure a quiet and smooth soft-close every time. Under no circumstances should your furniture drawers close with a 'bang', and the drawer runners that we use ensure this.

Designed and handmade to fit the space between the bi-fold doors and the wall of the living room perfectly, the television unit is a solid piece of furniture that is built to last. Handpainted in Mylands paint, the finish is hard-wearing, and due to being handpainted, can be touched up easily years down the line.

Our own on-site Burlanes installation team have many years experience, and they are amazing at what they do. All of our furniture is not only made-to-measure, but it is also scribed and fit perfectly on site to ensure an impeccable finish.
