Burlanes Sponsors Local Student's Trek To Borneo

We are absolutely delighted to be sponsoring a student from a school local to Burlanes Chelmsford on his incredible trip to Borneo later this year, with Camps International. Callum will be experiencing true off-grid living, trekking through the heart of the Bornean jungle and helping to protect orangutan habitats.

Callum, along with a number of his fellow students, will be living as part of a rural community in Borneo, Asia, for 4 weeks, and working together to create sustainable change. This once-in-a-lifetime adventure will give Callum the opportunity to explore the unique jungle ecosystem and unexplored tropical wilderness on a 5 day trek. The students will play an active part in helping to protect this important environment through long-term conservation projects, whilst immersing in traditional culture within the heart of the rural village they will be living in, to work alongside local people to support community development.
