A KITCHEN ESSENTIAL: QUOOKER TAP

Many of our clients visit the showroom with a list of “must haves” and top of many kitchen lists is a Quooker tap. This handy kitchen tool has become indispensable in many kitchens but what does it actually do?

THE BASICS

A Quooker tap dispenses 100C boiling hot, cold, and even sparkling water, whenever you need it. It consists of a kitchen tap on your worktop and a tank in your kitchen cupboard. The tank acts like a vacuum flask connected to the water mains. The air in the insulated wall is so thin that the heat is unable to escape.

It takes very little energy (just 10 watts) to keep the water in the tank at 110°C. The water only starts to boil when the tap is turned on and the temperature of the outflowing water drops to 100°C. While the water is flowing out of the tap, freshwater immediately flows into the tank.

USES

Functionally it is very practical for any home; tea, coffee, sterilising baby bottles, or making boiling water for cooking, the Quooker does it all. The new Quooker CUBE tank extension can give you sparkling water straight from your tap.

Benefits…

Space – You can maximise worktop space and get rid of the kettle and unsightly wires.

Safety – Due to Quookers double push and turn system, it is impossible to turn the boiling water on accidentally. Their aerated spray avoids accidental scalds or burns, and their double insulated spout means they are cool to the touch, unlike kettles.

Water Efficient – The Quooker only gives you the amount of water you need each time, and never gets boiled more than once, so doesn’t waste any water or energy, and you never have to wait for the kettle to boil again!
