Position: Kitchen / Furniture Designer

Location: Chelmsford, Essex

Salary: £25k basic, plus bonus and expenses, OTE £45k+ (uncapped), 28 days holiday

We are a bespoke furniture and interiors company specialising in Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms. We design and create handmade, bespoke interiors and are looking for a Kitchen Designer to work in our established, luxury showroom in Chelmsford. You will be joining a team headed up by our Creative Director who has many years experiences in the KBB industry. You will receive full support in your role from a dedicated Burlanes Project Manager, and workshop based Production Manager. Full training of all internal software and processes will be given.

The Role: Kitchen Designer
The role involves offering a bespoke service from the first client meeting to the final handover of a project, working closely with clients in their homes as well as in the Chelmsford showroom. Time management and working to deadlines play an important role as well as being an ambitious individual.

You will be offering a bespoke, personal kitchen design service, using your creative flair to design and create sleek modern and classic country looks, Burlanes designers regularly attend training workshops and trade fairs with our key high-end suppliers, from the KBB industry.

The Candidate
The applicant needs to be as passionate about customer service as design, attention to detail is everything and our clients expect perfection. IT skills are essential with a comprehensive knowledge of an interior design package, however full training will be given to bring you fully up to speed with our CAD software and internal systems.

Key Points

  • Experience designing kitchens using CAD is essential
  • Must be able to drive and have use of own car
  • Experience in a kitchen design environment is extremely beneficial, but not essential if from an allied design/showroom market place.
  • Knowledge of using computer aided design packages is essential
  • Experience gained in a retail or customer focused background would be preferred
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £25,000.00 to £45,000.00 /year
