Luxury, open-plan living
The Burlanes open-plan luxury kitchen is a beautiful example of the Heritage collection. Built on the notions of good proportions and symmetry with floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and an impressive central kitchen island. A traditional style kitchen with all the benefits of contemporary living; built to last a lifetime.
Designer's comment
"A little over 4 metres in length, this is quite possibly the largest island we have designed, handmade and installed at Burlanes, and what a show stopper it is!!"
The cabinetry
Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry is a great design choice for open-plan kitchens, making really good use of space. Bi-fold doors work really well on floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, particularly in a breakfast pantry setting like this. The doors can be quickly and easily opened and left open when prepping food and cooking, without causing a hazard as you manoeuvre around your kitchen.
The island
An island was an important design choice in this kitchen; not only does it provide all worktop space, it also houses the rubbish and recycling bins, dishwasher, main sink and a prep sink with a Quooker boiling water tap, and provides a breakfast bar seating area too.
