Traditional meets contemporary
The Shaker Green Heritage kitchen is the perfect example of a traditional kitchen with all the benefits of modern living. Designed, handmade and installed by Burlanes, with truly bespoke cabinetry and made-to-measure storage solutions, the project really is a testament to Burlanes' dedication to beautiful craftsmanship.
Designer's comment
The shaker kitchen has come a long way since its origins, and this is the perfect example of a traditional kitchen with all the benefits of contemporary living. Both the cabinetry style and the colour work incredibly well in a galley kitchen as they do in an open-plan kitchen diner.
The layout
A typical galley kitchen in a Victorian property; long and narrow with high ceilings, our Wellsdown cabinetry was the perfect choice.
Countertop larder
Being a galley kitchen, there was not the space for a signature Burlanes freestanding larder, so a countertop larder was the perfect solution. With bespoke, fully adjustable oak shelving, there was ample storage for the homeowner's groceries and dried goods.
