How to achieve serene, uncluttered bedroom storage

Burlanes bespoke bedroom furniture and storage solutions

An uncluttered bedroom is essential for a relaxing space to unwind and sleep after a long day, and great storage is key to keeping everything tidy and in its place. Read our top tips to creating streamlined storage solutions for your bedroom, that is bursting with hard-working functionality.

Go bespoke

Bespoke furniture is made to measure and will therefore fit the space it will stand within perfectly, giving a much more streamlined and efficient finish than off the shelf solutions. A bespoke wardrobe will also mean you are able to configure the internal fixtures and fittings to provide you with storage solutions that are fit for your needs.

Utilise otherwise unused space

The best way to ensure your bedroom furniture does not dominate the room is to use otherwise unused space. By doing so, you will be sure that your furniture will not protrude into walking space, or result in the room being over crowded or cramped.

Choose colours wisely

Your bedroom is your sanctuary to relax, unwind and escape daily life, so chose colours that reflect that, especially for your furniture. By opting for light, neutral colours for your furniture, it will not become a large focal point in the room, and will in-fact blend in seamlessly. Dress the room with colour in your accessories instead.

Create a catchall

For ultimate minimalism, store everything in the room behind closed doors, not just your clothing. Fold back pocket doors allows the television in the Hythe master bedroom project to be easily concealed when not in use.

Use mirrors

Mirrors are essential in a bedroom or dressing room space for obvious reasons, but they are also great at reflecting light and attention away from bulky pieces of furniture, and make a room feel much bigger, and less cluttered, than it actually is.

Both Burlanes Sevenoaks and Burlanes Chelmsford are open on an appointment only basis, and we have strict procedures in place to ensure both studios remain safe and clean environments at all times. The well-being of both our design team and our customers is our top priority, therefore we have implemented a number of things to ensure you can continue with your project and design your dream kitchen, bedroom or bathroom in a safe and comfortable space:

• We will be carrying out just one appointment at a time, meaning there will be just members of your household and your designer in the studio at all times.
• We have hand sanitizing stations at both studios, and we will ask that all visitors use these, or thoroughly wash their hands, when entering and leaving our premises.
• We have social distancing guideline markers on the floor throughout both studios that must be followed, meaning at no point will you be within two metres of your Burlanes designer.
• We have installed plastic screens of the highest quality in our design areas, allowing your designer to present to you at a distance, in the safest possible way.

To arrange an appointment, please call us on our usual numbers (Sevenoaks - 01732 605 001 / Chelmsford - 01245 352 557), or email [email protected].

All of the Burlanes team take enormous pride in their work, go above and beyond and show an incredible level of client care.
