A luxury master bedroom & en-suite in Essex

Your master bedroom should be a clutter-free, serene space in which you are able to relax, unwind and switch off after a long day. The layout of your furniture should be well considered to ensure the best possible room layout, and storage solutions are essential to keep the space streamlined and tidy. 

Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes are a great storage solution for clothing, shoes and accessories, and the furniture we design, handmake and install is truly bespoke and made-to-measure, ensuring a seamless fit. The brief for this master bedroom in this family home in the Essex countryside was to create a peaceful haven; a room to relax and rest in, that was uncluttered and had the feel of a boutique hotel.

Handmade to fit the exact dimensions of the outside wall of the property and handpainted in Empire Grey by Mylands, the run of our signature Wellsdown wardrobes provide ample hanging space for clothes, as well as handmade oak shelving for shoes and accessories too.

Our oak made-to-measure drawers are handmade with dovetail joins and soft-close runners to ensure the highest possible quality; our furniture is made to stand the test of time. 

In addition to the run of wardrobes, we also designed, handmade and installed matching bedside tables and a solid oak headboard, with our signature shaker panelling, with concealed plug sockets for phone chargers and other electricals. 

Consistency throughout a room really makes a difference in interior design, so it was essential that the skirting of the furniture was handmade to slot seamlessly into the skirting for the rest of the room. 

In addition to bedroom furniture, we also design and handmake truly bespoke oak mirrors to complement your furniture. Each mirror is handmade to the exact dimensions required, and can be finished in oak, like in this project, or can be handpainted in any colour of your choice.

Just behind this door is a small, but lovely, en-suite, with walk-in shower area. Our Chelmsford design team worked closely with the homeowners to configure the best layout for this space. 

Our bespoke shaker wall panelling is handpainted in Mid Wedgewood by Mylands, complementing the beautiful 'Chelsea' porcelain floor tiles by Ca'Pietra. 

You do not need to have lots of space to create a useful storage solution. Our Chelmsford design team created a floor-to-ceiling cabinet to conceal the cistern of the toilet, as well as provide concealed shelving for toiletries too. There is also a concealed shavers plug socket behind those two lovely doors too!
