Your dream kitchen design: colour & finish

We are often asked what the rules are that should be followed when choosing the colour and finishings of a kitchen during the design process, and our answer is always the same: the only rule is to ignore trends and go with what you love! No two homes are the same, and no two kitchens should be either. Trends come and go, and what you see on Instagram or Pinterest may not be what you truly want, so always go with your heart to ensure your kitchen will still be perfect for you in years to come.

The Blue Wellsdown Galley Kitchen

We are so pleased to be back out on the road again photographing our clients' wonderful homes and their bespoke Burlanes furniture, and we kicked it off with the Blue Wellsdown Galley Kitchen in Chelmsford.

The owners purchased the beautiful townhouse a little over 18 months ago and have undertaken a huge renovation project, including a side return kitchen extension to the rear of the property.

Traditionally, kitchen cabinets have always been angular and square, however in recent years, curves in the kitchen have become a more desired design, for both aesthetics and as a space saving technique. 

The Wellsdown project in Sevenoaks was designed with a curved kitchen island to allow for a better flow around the room.
